THE LAW OFFICE OF BRUCE J. LAZARUS is an entertainment, multimedia and sports law firm created to provide cost effective expertise and timely professional service to its clients in the theatre, motion picture, television, music, multimedia and sports industries.
Bruce J. Lazarus is a veteran entertainment attorney with extensive background and experience in all phases of theatre, film, television, video, music, and multimedia and in its development, financing, production, and distribution.
Bruce J. Lazarus is a graduate of the University of Miami and Southwestern University School of Law, and has practiced law since 1990. He is the former Director of Business and Legal Affairs for Walt Disney Motion Pictures and Walt Disney Theatrical Productions Ltd., and is responsible for contract negotiations on THE LION KING and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.
Mr. Lazarus produced the musicals ZEN BOOGIE with Steve Leber, David Krebs, and Capitol Records, and TANZI AT THE ROXY with John Wells and John Daily. He also produced the hit off-Broadway comedy ONLY KIDDING (Drama Desk Nomination-Best Play). As a personal manager, he formed Bruce Lazarus Associates in 1986 representing actors including Ray Liotta, David Caruso, Troy Beyer and Philip Baker Hall. He is instructor at Carnegie-Mellon University Graduate Arts Management Program, UCLA, and the Commercial Theatre Institute. In 1998, he produced the Off-Broadway play Shakespeares "R & J," adapted and directed by Joe Calarco (winner of the Lucile Lortel Award) and the feature film "Interruptions," written and directed by Gretchen Summerfield, currently on the Festival circuit.
